House Bill 1570 would prohibit healthcare professionals from providing or even referring transgender young people for medically necessary health care.
It would bar any state funds for gender-affirming health care for transgender people under 18, and it would allow private insurers to refuse to cover gender-affirming care for people of any age.

NORTH CAROLINA
Three North Carolina Republican lawmakers introduced a bill Monday that would prevent doctors from performing gender confirmation surgery for transgender people younger than 21.
...compel state employees to immediately notify parents in writing if their child displays “gender nonconformity” or expresses a desire to be treated in a way that is incompatible with the gender they were assigned at birth. LGBTQ advocates fear the bill would out people under 21 who tell state workers that they may be transgender.

MONTANA
The Montana House has endorsed a new bill, prohibiting gender transition surgeries for transgender youth.
House Bll 427, sponsored by Republican Rep. John Fuller of Whitefish, passed 59-40 Wednesday in a preliminary vote on the House floor.

Today, the Montana Senate passed House Bill 112, an anti-LGBTQ bill that would ban transgender girls and women from participating in sports at the elementary, secondary, or post-secondary level consistent with their gender identity. The bill now heads to Governor Greg Gianforte’s desk for signature or veto. Call Governer Gianforte using this number and tell him to veto it: 406-444-3111.
